[Fish] (sea bream with a tail)...It is said to be auspicious because it is a play on the words "happy (sea bream)" and its red skin and white flesh give it a red and white appearance.

[Simmered dishes]...Use auspicious ingredients such as lotus roots whose holes allow you to see beyond (the future) and bamboo shoots that grow straight and strong.

[Soup] (Suimono)...It has the meaning of "so that your sucking power will become stronger and you will grow faster."

[Kanomono]...Pickled octopus with "Tako" (Tako)
